UK – Conservatives attack Israel, promises not to spend money on ‘stupid wars’

That’s the Tories in Blackburn, to be precise, where the campaign of Conservative candidate Michael Law-Riding has circulated a pamphlet in the seat’s Asian areas packed full of statements that defy the party’s official policy. It’s printed on a side of A4 under the headline “Labour shows its true colours” and challenges Labour’s claim to serve the Muslim vote. It says:

“We cannot be deceived by their hollow claims. We have in front of us a whole saga of atrocities committed in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Palestine and as if this was not enough, the Labour government allowed the Israeli government to create havoc in Lebanon and Gaza in Palestine, destroying their infrastructure and killing and maiming thousands of innocent civilians. The Labour government did nothing, absolutely nothing for a number of days while the Israelis carried on their inhuman killing of innocent men, women and children.”

It accuses Jack Straw, who is the MP for Blackburn, of insulting “our religion and culture and…our sisters and mothers” by refusing to hold meetings with women constituents wearing a full veil. “We should not forget that today they are criticising our women’s(sic) veil, tomorrow it will be ou caps and our beards they will attack,” the pamphlet declares.

It goes on to urge a vote for Mr Law-Riding ‘if you want to see an en to unnecessary and very expensive wars, shedding of innocent blood and save Britain from bankruptcy.”

The Guardian has an account of the pamphlet here, which reports CCHQ saying the pamphlet was not sanctioned centrally (no kidding) and has been ordered removed.

My report on Mr Straw’s campaign – and his sympathy for white voters ‘disturbed’ by the impact of immigration – is here.

Looks like the Lib Dems aren’t the only anti-semites  (wink wink) trying to fight against Israel. Show the anti-British rats whose right.

Palestine – Egypt rejects claims that it gassed Gaza tunnels

An Egyptian intelligence official on Thursday denied allegations leveled by Hamas that Egypt pumped gas into a cross-border tunnel used to smuggle goods into the Gaza Strip, killing four Palestinians.

Egypt has been under pressure to shut down the hundreds of tunnels that are a key economic lifeline for the blockaded Palestinian territory but which are also used to bring in weapons for the Islamic militant group.

The intelligence official confirmed that Egyptian security forces destroyed the entrances to several tunnels this week, but said that no gas was used in the operations. He said that Egypt routinely blows up the mouths to the tunnels to seal them off, and that the blast and an ensuing fire could quickly use up all the oxygen in the confined space, causing people caught inside to suffocate.

Egypt’s denial comes a day after Hamas accused Egyptian forces of killing four Palestinians by pumping gas into a smuggling tunnel. The Hamas Interior Ministry said in a statement late Wednesday that the gas used to try to clear the tunnel was poisonous. It said six people were also injured.

It was not immediately clear what evidence Hamas was basing its allegations on.

Mohammed al-Osh, the medical director of the Abu Yusef al-Najar hospital in the Gaza border town of Rafah where some of the dead and injured were taken, could not confirm those killed had inhaled poison gas. He said the hospital did not have the equipment or specialists needed to conduct the necessary tests on lungs and clothing.

Israel and Egypt have kept Gaza’s official border crossings closed since Hamas seized control of the coastal strip in 2007 from forces loyal to Western-backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who now only governs in the West Bank.

The United States and Israel have been pushing Egypt to do more to try to close the tunnels, which provide Hamas with a lifeline helping it to stay in power in Gaza. Weapons and other contraband regularly move through the tunnels.

More dickbaggery by the useless Egypt.

Israhell – Israeli man jailed for ‘holy semen’ sexual abuse

An Israeli man has been imprisoned for 10 years for tricking women into sexual acts by claiming his semen was holy and had healing powers.

Nissim Aharon, a former employee at the Israeli defence ministry, was convicted of rape, sodomy, indecent acts and aggravated fraudulent acquisition.

Women paid him large sums of money, believing he was a holy rabbi who could heal body and soul, the court said.

Judges called his actions “monstrous”, exploiting “women young and old”.

The sentence was the result of a plea bargain, and was handed down at Petah Tikvah district court.

Under it, Aharon will also have to pay 100,000 Israeli shekels ($26,866) to each of five women who filed the complaint against him.

What. The. Fuck.

Palestine – Maltese woman shot during Palestine protests

A 28-year-old Maltese woman, Bianca Zammit, had a very close brush with death yesterday morning during a pro-Palestinian demonstration, when she was shot in the left thigh by Israeli forces near the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza.

Ms Zammit was shot while filming the demonstration at a distance of roughly 100 meters from a fence separating the Palestinian territory from Israel, where Israeli soldiers were positioned.

Speaking to The Malta Independent on Sunday yesterday evening, Ms Zammit said she had been “really lucky” in that the bullet had entered the flesh of her thigh and had not struck the bone, which would have resulted in a far worse injury.

As matters stand, doctors have told her she should be able to walk again in a week’s time.

Sounding calm, cool and collected despite what must have been quite an ordeal, Ms Zammit said yesterday’s experience had not deterred her in the slightest and that she would remain in Palestine to continue peacefully demonstrating in support of the rights of the Palestinian people.

While Ms Zammit should be back on her feet again by next week, one of her companions was not so lucky. Hind Al Akra, 22, was shot in the stomach and at the time of speaking to Ms Zammit he was still undergoing emergency surgery and his condition was said to be serious. Another demonstrator, Nidal Al Naji, 18, was shot in the right thigh.

“It was totally amazing,” Ms Zammit recounts. “The demonstration was 100 per cent peaceful. We were simply walking with Palestinian flags on Palestinian land, the same as is done every two to three days here.

World – Israel fourth least liked country in the world. Pakistan, Iran and NK worse

Only Iran, North Korea, and Pakistan are viewed in a more negative light than Israel, according to a poll conducted in 28 countries and published Tuesday by the BBC.

The poll shows that just 19% of the 29,000 respondents questioned view Israel positively versus 50% who perceive the country in a negative light. Together with Israel at the bottom of the list are Iran (15% positive, 56% negative), Pakistan (16% positive, 51% negative), and North Korea (17% positive, 48% negative).

The poll also showed that world perceptions of the US are improving with 46% of respondents viewing the country favorably and 34% viewing the country negatively. Only two countries saw a decrease in the perception of the world’s number one superpower – Turkey and India.

I find it quite ironic that, if you read more, Germany is the most favoured. Disturbing, but amusing. Anyway, good news, hopefully the pro-Zionist organisations find out that hardly anybody supports their cause of funding them.

Britain – Clegg don’t like Israel

The great joy of being a third party in British politics is that the detail of policy pronouncements mostly goes unremarked in the media. The surge in Liberal Democrat support, after Nick Clegg’s winning performance in the first of the leadership debates, changed that.

There has been a concerted effort to examine every aspect of policy. When it comes to the Middle East the portents are not encouraging. Clegg is a long-term critic of Israel’s policies and led the charge to denounce Israel and impose sanctions during the 2009 Gaza war.

In an inflammatory opinion-page article in The Guardian in January 2009 he called on Labour to “condemn unambiguously Israel’s tactics” and called for an immediate arms boycott by Britain and the EU.

The language in the Lib Dems manifesto on the Middle East does not suggest that the party’s policies have changed very much over the last year. The party supports a two-state solution but goes on to condemn “disproportionate use of force by both sides”.

For those who don’t know, Nick Clegg is the leader of the Liberal Democrats in the UK, and is so far second in the election polls. Sadly, the Zionist lobby seems to be prominent in the Labour and Conservative parties, the latter winning the election polls, according to the Sabbah Report.

We can already see how disastrously the US election turned out, not just for Americans but the rest of us also. “The US president is simply the voice of the Zionist parasite,” writes a friend in Norway. “It is sickening and frightening that Obama is seen toeing the Zionist line.”

“Zionism has the US administration and other western governments by the balls.”

Well, that’s certainly the way it looks. Last month Israel’s prime minister Netanyahu slapped America in the face by approving more illegal settlements during vice-president Joe Biden’s visit. What did Secretary of State Hillary Clinton do? She repeated the pathetic mantra: “We have an absolute commitment to Israel’s security. We have a close unshakeable bond between the United States and Israel and between the American and Israeli people”.

Clinton completed her surrender to the Israeli terror machine by sharing the AIPAC Conference platform with a triumphant Netanyahu.

Whereupon over half of America’s lawmakers topped Clinton’s performance by signing a letter committing to the US’s “unbreakable” bond with the racist regime.

Nine months earlier, speaking in a BBC interview, Obama said he believed the US was “able to get serious negotiations back on track” between Israel and the Palestinians. And when asked about Israel’s defiance when called on to halt construction of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, he urged patience. “Diplomacy is always a matter of a long hard slog. It’s never a matter of quick results.”

The fact is, diplomacy doesn’t work with the Israelis. Everyone knows the problem: Israel’s contempt for international law and UN resolutions. And now we see Obama’s contempt too. In this wobbly leader’s mind Israel is somehow exempt from the laws, conventions, codes of conduct and respect for the rights of others that apply to everyone else in the civilised world.

Telegraph editors moaned. I’ll make an Exposed! report on this later.
